Dormi–Baby Monitor (Android app)

This privacy policy explains in detail what information sleekbit s.r.o. ("we", "us" or "our") collects and how we use your personal information when you use the Product. We may update this policy at any time; please check back frequently to stay current. Your continued use of the Product indicates that you have read this Privacy Policy and that you accept its terms. You also give your express permission for us to collect, store, and use your information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. At all times, your use of the Product is governed by our Terms of Service, available here.

1. In brief

Given the nature of our product, the importance of your privacy is paramount. To that end, our application:

  1. end-to-end encrypts your audio and video streams,
  2. uses an encrypted channel to set up and maintain your monitoring session,
  3. collects as little personally identifiable information as possible, given the functionality required. See (3) below.

A detailed description of the protocols and algorithms in use is available here.

2. What is personal information and what is processing of personal information

Personal information (or data) is any information relating to you and that alone or in cumulation with other pieces of information gives the opportunity to the person that collects and processes such information to identify you as a person. It can be your name, your identification number, your location data, or information related to your physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social life. Processing of the information means any action with your personal data, for example, collection, recording, organisation, structuring, storage, use, disclosure by any means and so on.

3. Personal information we collect

For our service to be functional (i.e. interconnecting multiple devices in a monitoring session over different types of network topologies), we temporarily (for the duration of a session) store the following information on our servers:

  1. your IP address,
  2. a hash of your randomly generated Group ID.

This data is discarded when the monitoring session ends.

We also permanently store a unique identifier (UID) assigned to you by Google (on a per-app basis) to track your free monitoring time allowance and referral credits. The data stored alongside this UID is limited to: registration date, remaining monitoring time balances, and referral counts. We do not store your name, email address, device information, or any other personally identifiable information.

The purpose of the free monthly allowance is to let anyone evaluate the app without having to make a payment, and/or continue using it for a prolonged time period, if usage was minimal.

If you participate in our referral program, a record of the referrer-referred relationship (consisting solely of the two UIDs involved) is stored on our servers to award referral credits.

Processing of this UID happens only after we obtain your explicit consent. You can grant or revoke this consent at any time in the app's privacy settings. Upon revocation, all server-side data containing your UID is permanently deleted by your next monthly renewal date — within 31 days at most. The scheduled deletion date is displayed in the app.

Alternatively, you may purchase any of the unlimited monitoring items offered under the Billing tab of Rewards & Billing, in which case no UID processing is required.

Please note that we are doing our best to secure this data from any third party.

4. Crash reports

When the app encounters an error, a diagnostic report is stored locally on your device. These reports are plain text and are never transmitted automatically. You may review their content and optionally choose to share them with us to help improve the product.

5. Server logs

Our servers maintain standard HTTP request logs for operational purposes. These logs may include IP addresses and are retained for a limited time. They do not contain user-identifying information beyond IP addresses.

6. Your rights

As described above, the only persistent data we store that relates to you is a pseudonymous UID and associated usage counters. You can revoke your consent to this processing at any time in the app's privacy settings, which triggers permanent deletion of all server-side data containing your UID (within 31 days at most, as described in section 3). If you have any other data-related request, please contact us at privacy@sleekbit.com.

If you believe your data protection rights have been violated, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. For users in the Czech Republic, the relevant authority is the Office for Personal Data Protection (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů, www.uoou.cz).

7. International data processing

Our servers are operated on Google Cloud infrastructure, which may process data in data centers located outside your country of residence, including outside the European Economic Area. Where such transfers occur, they are subject to appropriate safeguards in accordance with applicable data protection law.

8. Who we share your personal information with

We do not share your personal information with any third party.

9. Changes to this notice

Our activities may evolve over time and we may update this privacy policy accordingly. For significant changes to this policy we will try to give you reasonable notice unless we are prevented from doing so. Where required by law we will seek your consent to changes in the way we use your personal information.

10. Contacting us
